Next Week: Crossing Guard Appreciation Day
Get Ready for Crossing Guard Appreciation Day! Before the big day, take a moment to talk with your kids about staying safe while walking and biking. Remind them just how important our Crossing Guards are. Then, on Tuesday, June 2, show your appreciation! When you’re on your way to school, thank the Crossing Guards in person and consider giving them a small token of gratitude. At each crossing guard post, tables will be set up to collect cards, flowers, or treats. If everyone participates, our Crossing Guards will truly feel how much their service is valued. Every school day, come rain or shine, they wait cheerfully to help students cross safely. Let’s make this day unforgettable by showering them with kindness and thanks!
8th Graders Only: Save the Date!
The PTSA will launch our 8th graders into orbit between 7-9 p.m. on Friday, June 12, at Takoma Park Middle School. The “To the Moon Disco Party” will offer pizza, drinks, and space-themed snacks alongside a blacklight party featuring a live DJ, glow gear, and a photo booth to capture the moment. To be inclusive of all, we’ll be hosting a sensory-friendly chill zone, sponsored by xMinds. The PTSA still needs a flight crew to help set-up, chaperone, and break down the event. La próxima semana: Día de Agradecimiento a los Guardias de Cruce
¡Prepárense para el Día de Agradecimiento a los Guardias de Cruce! Antes del gran día, tómense un momento para hablar con sus hijos sobre cómo mantenerse seguros al caminar y andar en bicicleta. Recuérdenles lo importantes que son nuestros guardias de cruce. Luego, el martes 2 de junio, ¡demuestren su agradecimiento! Cuando vayan camino a la escuela, den las gracias a los guardias de cruce en persona y consideren entregarles un pequeño detalle como muestra de gratitud. En cada puesto de guardia de cruce se instalarán mesas para recibir tarjetas, flores o dulces. Si todos participan, nuestros guardias de cruce sentirán verdaderamente cuánto se valora su servicio. Todos los días escolares, llueva o haga sol, ellos esperan con alegría para ayudar a los estudiantes a cruzar de manera segura. ¡Hagamos que este día sea inolvidable colmándolos de amabilidad y agradecimiento!
¡Solo para alumnos de 8.º grado: Reserven la fecha!
La PTSA lanzará a nuestros alumnos de 8.º grado a la órbita el viernes 12 de junio, entre las 7:00 y las 9:00 p. m., en la Takoma Park Middle School. La «Fiesta Disco: ¡Rumbo a la Luna!» ofrecerá pizza, bebidas y aperitivos con temática espacial, junto con una fiesta bajo luz negra que contará con un DJ en vivo, accesorios luminosos y un fotomatón para inmortalizar el momento. Para garantizar la inclusión de todos, habilitaremos una zona de descanso sensorialmente amigable, patrocinada por xMinds. La PTSA aún necesita una «tripulación de vuelo» que ayude con el montaje, la supervisión y el desmontaje del evento. ለክሮሲንግ ዘበኛ የምስጋና ቀን ይዘጋጁ! ከትልቁ ቀን በፊት፣ በእግር እና በብስክሌት ሲጓዙ ደህንነትዎን ለመጠበቅ ከልጆችዎ ጋር ለመነጋገር ትንሽ ጊዜ ይውሰዱ። የክሮሲንግ ዘበኞቻችን ምን ያህል አስፈላጊ እንደሆኑ ያስታውሱ። ከዚያም ማክሰኞ፣ ሰኔ 2፣ አድናቆትዎን ያሳዩ! ወደ ትምህርት ቤት በሚሄዱበት ጊዜ፣ የክሮሲንግ ዘበኞቹን በአካል ያመስግኑ እና ትንሽ የምስጋና ምልክት ለመስጠት ያስቡበት። በእያንዳንዱ የክሮሲንግ ዘበኛ ፖስት፣ ካርዶችን፣ አበቦችን ወይም መክሰስን ለመሰብሰብ ጠረጴዛዎች ይዘጋጃሉ። ሁሉም ሰው ከተሳተፈ፣ የክሮሲንግ ዘበኞቻችን አገልግሎታቸው ምን ያህል ዋጋ እንዳለው በእውነት ይሰማቸዋል። ዝናብም ይሁን ፀሐይ፣ ተማሪዎች ደህንነቱ በተጠበቀ ሁኔታ እንዲያልፉ ለመርዳት በደስታ ይጠብቃሉ። ይህንን ቀን በደግነት እና በምስጋና በማዘንበል የማይረሳ እናድርገው!

PTSA የ8ኛ ክፍል ተማሪዎቻችንን አርብ፣ ሰኔ 12፣ በታኮማ ፓርክ መካከለኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤት ከቀኑ 7-9 ሰዓት መካከል ወደ ምህዋር ያስጀምራል። “ወደ ጨረቃ ዲስኮ ፓርቲ” ፒዛ፣ መጠጦች እና የጠፈር ጭብጥ ያላቸው መክሰስ ከጥቁር ብርሃን ድግስ ጋር የቀጥታ ዲጄ፣ የፍላይት ማርሽ እና የፎቶ ዳስ ያቀርባል። ሁሉንም ለማካተት፣ በxMinds የተደገፈ የስሜት ህዋሳት ተስማሚ የሆነ የማቀዝቀዣ ዞን እናዘጋጃለን። PTSA አሁንም ዝግጅቱን ለማዘጋጀት፣ ለመከታተል እና ለማብራራት የሚረዳ የበረራ ቡድን ይፈልጋል። በዚህ ሊንክ በኩል ለፓርቲው የሚገኙ መቀመጫዎችን እዚህ ማግኘት ይችላሉ።
