April PTSA Monthly Meeting Notes

Spring Garden Gala Dance
With the dance coming up this Friday, we’re looking for a few volunteers to help make the event a success! We would greatly appreciate your support in any of the following areas:
- Set-up: 2–4 volunteers (4:30–5:30 PM)
- Serving food: 6–8 volunteers (6:00–8:00 PM)
- Chaperoning: 10 volunteers (6:00–8:00 PM)
- Clean-up: 4–6 volunteers (8:00–9:00 PM)
If you’re available to help in any capacity, please let us know which role and time work best for you.
Teacher Appreciation Week is Apr 27-May 1, 2026!
Committee Chair, Alisa Obrien, is planning a really great week for our teachers themed on Wicked (the musical)! Help make it happen:
8th grade dance committee needed by April 30th!
Have an 8th grader, or a 7th grader? We need you to help continue this school tradition. It’s so much fun to see these kids engage in this epic rite-of-passage! We’ve tentatively booked Friday, June 12th for the 8th grade promotion dance (this dance is for 8th graders only).
- This event depends on someone to lead it (or it will be cancelled)! The PTSA will book the dj and photobooth, provide a budget and support.
- What’s needed? Choose a theme, order decorations, select the drinks and snacks, organize the parent chaperones, and of course, be there on June 12.

May PTSA Meeting – Elections!
Our next PTSA meeting will take place on May 12 over Zoom. This meeting will include updates and information, and our annual PTSA Board election. Read on to learn more about positions on the Board and Committees.
The roles in BOLD with an * are positions where we need people to fill positions (either the position is currently empty, or a current Board member will not be returning). Please note, you can also run for positions that are not in bold (for example, a current Board member plans to return). For example: Emily, current TPMS Board President, has said in the past that she will run again for next year’s board; and people can feel free to run against her. We really need a community to run the PTSA and have successful transitions from year to year. Next year that could mean someone stepping into the executive Vice President Role who could possibly become the President the next year. Questions? Baile de Gala de Primavera
Dado que el baile se celebrará este viernes, ¡buscamos algunos voluntarios para ayudar a que el evento sea un éxito! Agradeceríamos enormemente su apoyo en cualquiera de las siguientes áreas:
- Montaje: 2–4 voluntarios (4:30–5:30 p. m.)
- Servicio de comida: 6–8 voluntarios (6:00–8:00 p. m.)
- Supervisión: 10 voluntarios (6:00–8:00 p. m.)
- Limpieza: 4–6 voluntarios (8:00–9:00 p. m.)

¡Se necesita un comité para el baile de 8.º grado antes del 30 de abril!
¿Tienes un hijo en 8.º o 7.º grado? Te necesitamos para ayudar a mantener viva esta tradición escolar. ¡Es muy divertido ver a estos chicos participar en este épico rito de paso! Hemos reservado provisionalmente el viernes 12 de junio para el baile de promoción de 8.º grado (este baile es exclusivo para los alumnos de 8.º grado).
¡Este evento depende de que alguien lo lidere (de lo contrario, se cancelará)! La PTSA se encargará de contratar al DJ y la cabina de fotos, además de proporcionar el presupuesto y el apoyo necesarios.
¿Qué se necesita? Elegir una temática, encargar la decoración, seleccionar las bebidas y los aperitivos, organizar a los padres voluntarios para la supervisión y, por supuesto, estar presente el 12 de junio.

Reunión de la PTSA de mayo: ¡Elecciones!
Nuestra próxima reunión de la PTSA se llevará a cabo el 12 de mayo a través de Zoom. Esta reunión incluirá actualizaciones e información, así como nuestra elección anual de la Junta Directiva de la PTSA. Siga leyendo para obtener más información sobre los cargos en la Junta y en los comités.
Los cargos que aparecen en **NEGRITA** y con un asterisco (*) son puestos que necesitamos cubrir (ya sea porque el cargo está vacante actualmente o porque un miembro actual de la Junta no continuará). Tenga en cuenta que también puede postularse para cargos que no aparecen en negrita (por ejemplo, si un miembro actual de la Junta planea continuar). Por ejemplo: Emily, actual presidenta de la Junta de TPMS, ha manifestado anteriormente que se postulará nuevamente para la Junta del próximo año; y cualquier persona es libre de postularse para competir contra ella. Realmente necesitamos que la comunidad participe para gestionar la PTSA y asegurar transiciones exitosas de un año a otro. በዚህ አርብ ዳንሱ እየቀረበ ስለሆነ፣ ዝግጅቱ ስኬታማ እንዲሆን የሚረዱ ጥቂት በጎ ፈቃደኞችን እንፈልጋለን! በሚከተሉት ዘርፎች ለሚያደርጉት ድጋፍ በጣም አመስጋኞች ነን፡
- ዝግጅት፡ 2-4 በጎ ፈቃደኞች (ከ4:30–5:30 ከሰዓት)
- ምግብ ማቅረብ፡ 6-8 በጎ ፈቃደኞች (ከ6:00–8:00 ከሰዓት)
- አብሮ መስራት፡ 10 በጎ ፈቃደኞች (ከ6:00–8:00 ከሰዓት)
- ጽዳት፡ 4-6 በጎ ፈቃደኞች (ከ8:00–9:00 ከሰዓት)
በማንኛውም አቅም ለመርዳት ዝግጁ ከሆኑ፣ እባክዎን የትኛው ሚና እና ጊዜ ለእርስዎ እንደሚስማማ ያሳውቁን።

እስከ ኤፕሪል 30 ድረስ የ8ኛ ክፍል የዳንስ ኮሚቴ ያስፈልጋል!
የ8ኛ ክፍል ተማሪ ወይስ የ7ኛ ክፍል ተማሪ አለዎት? ይህንን የትምህርት ቤት ባህል እንዲቀጥሉ እርስዎን እንፈልጋለን። እነዚህ ልጆች በዚህ አስደናቂ የመተላለፊያ ሥርዓት ውስጥ ሲሳተፉ ማየት በጣም አስደሳች ነው! አርብ፣ ሰኔ 12 ለ8ኛ ክፍል የማስተዋወቂያ ዳንስ አስይዘናል (ይህ ዳንስ ለ8ኛ ክፍል ተማሪዎች ብቻ ነው)።
ይህ ዝግጅት የሚመራው ሰው ላይ የተመሰረተ ነው (ወይም ይሰረዛል)! PTSA ዲጄ እና የፎቶ ቡዝ ያስይዛል፣ በጀት እና ድጋፍ ይሰጣል።

የግንቦት PTSA ስብሰባ – ምርጫዎች!
የሚቀጥለው የPTSA ስብሰባችን በግንቦት 12 በZoom ይካሄዳል። ይህ ስብሰባ ዝማኔዎችን እና መረጃዎችን እንዲሁም አመታዊ የPTSA ቦርድ ምርጫችንን ያካትታል። በቦርዱ እና በኮሚቴዎች ውስጥ ስላሉ ቦታዎች የበለጠ ለማወቅ ያንብቡ።
በ BOLD ውስጥ ያሉት ሚናዎች ሰዎች ቦታዎችን እንዲሞሉ የሚያስፈልጋቸው ቦታዎች ናቸው (ቦታው በአሁኑ ጊዜ ባዶ ነው ወይም የአሁኑ የቦርድ አባል አይመለስም)። እባክዎን በደማቅ ፊደላት ላልተጻፉ ቦታዎች መወዳደር እንደሚችሉ ልብ ይበሉ (ለምሳሌ፣ የአሁኑ የቦርድ አባል ለመመለስ አቅዷል)። ለምሳሌ፡ የአሁኑ የTPMS የቦርድ ፕሬዝዳንት ኤሚሊ ቀደም ሲል ለሚቀጥለው ዓመት የቦርድ አባል እንደገና እንደምትወዳደር ተናግራለች፤ እና ሰዎች ከእሷ ጋር ለመወዳደር ነፃነት ሊሰማቸው ይችላል። PTSAን የሚያስተዳድሩ እና ከአመት ወደ አመት ስኬታማ ሽግግሮች እንዲኖራቸው በእውነት ማህበረሰብ ያስፈልገናል። በሚቀጥለው ዓመት ይህ ማለት አንድ ሰው በሚቀጥለው ዓመት ፕሬዝዳንት ሊሆን የሚችል የስራ አስፈፃሚ ምክትል ፕሬዝዳንት ሚና ውስጥ ይገባል ማለት ሊሆን ይችላል። ጥያቄዎች? እባክዎን ያነጋግሩ፡ president.tpms.pta@gmail.com እና beccaj@gmail.com።
